Hi, Just wondered if you knew how many people died in Chernobyl…
Officially 31 people died directly from the disaster, namely fire-fighter’s and other rescue workers.
However, there are estimated to be around 1,000,000 people who have suffered an early death due to the effects of the disaster. The majority of which are as result of Thyroid cancer.
The cooling towers of reactors 5 & 6 are amazing! The atmosphere in there is just mind-blowing. I hope it won’t be too cold in February though…
Have you been? Do you know what the lighting is like down in the basements?
I’ve only been inside of the cooling towers, not of the reactors. With only two days there I had to drop some locations…
